MARY WOLLSTONECRAFT: ENSAIO SOBRE PERFIL VANGUARDISTA

Abstract

Este ensaio apresenta, sob eixo temático Precursores Interparadigmáti cos, o perfil intelectual da escritora e feminista Mary Wollstonecraft, cuja prin cipal obra intitula-se Vindication of the rights of women. A autora viveu durante o período iluminista entre 1759-1797 e focava seus escritos na defes a dos direitos das mulheres, com postura antiescravagista através de uma mani festa ção predominantemente intelectual proeminente para a média das mulheres daquele período histórico. Os objetivos são traçar um paralelo entre as ideias de vanguarda da autora para época e algumas das atuais verpons da Conscienciologia, ciência proposta pelo pesquisador Waldo Vieira. A metodologia será descrever o contexto histórico do Iluminismo e das principais características desse movimento, seguido de uma breve biografia da autora, fi nalizando com um cotejo das ideias de vanguarda da escritora com as da Cons cienciologia. Para finalizar, apresentar-se-ão as considerações finais do presente ensaio, apontando os próximos passos da pesquisa biográfica desta personalidade histórica de vanguarda.

This essay presents the intellectual profile of the writer and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft, whose main work is entitled Vindication of the rights of women, under the thematic axis Interparadigmatics Precursores. The author lived during the Enlightenment period between 1759 and 1797 and focused her writings on the defense of women's rights, with an anti-slavery attitude through a predominantly intellectual manifestation prominent for the average women of that historical period. The objectives are to draw a parallel between the avant-garde ideas of the author for that time and some of the current verpons of Conscientiology, a science proposed by the researcher Waldo Vieira. The methodology will be to describe the historical context of the Enlightenment and the main characteristics of that movement, followed by a brief biography of the author, ending with a comparison of the writer's vanguard ideas with those of Conscientiology. To conclude, the final considerations of this essay will be presented, pointing out the next steps of the biographic research of this historical personality of the vanguard.
